Nerd Rock

So apparently there is a genre of music called nerdcore. This discovery may just make life worth living. It could bring light to the darkest depths of the universe. It could make a Nazgul feel love agian! Okay. Maybe not. But it’s still pretty jokes.

So I’ve heard two of these genius bands; I Fight Dragons and Powerglove. I believe they both use 8-bit sounds from game systems past to create a mix of rock ‘n’ roll and nostalgia for your childhood spent playing Zelda and Pokemon (please excuse me, I don’t know how to put the accent above the e). I Fight Dragons writes their own unique songs and occasionally does some rather interesting cover-type things. Powerglove converts video game and comic book movie songs into metal songs. They fucking rock.

So I just wanted to share that little piece of awesome.
